How to use Yantra?

Step 1: Initial Cleansing (Shuddhi)

Rinse the Yantra gently under clean water (Gangajal or river water preferred). Pat dry with a clean cotton cloth. Do not use soap, chemicals, or abrasive materials.

Step 2: Choosing the Right Days

  • Kuber & Lakshmi Yantras: Preferrably Friday or Diwali or Navratri. Else any day.

  • Bhairav Yantras: Preferrably Holi or Diwali or Bhairav Ashtami or Navratri. Else, any day.

  • Dus Mahavidya Yantras: Preferrably Navratri or Holi or Diwali or any good day. Else any day.

  • Nav Graha Yantras: The specific weekday of each planet (Sun=Sunday, Moon=Monday, etc.)

  • Any Yantra: Shukla Paksha (waxing moon fortnight) of any day is universally auspicious

Step 2: Choosing the Right Time:

  • Best time would be Brahma Muhurata (3:30 am to 6:30 am) and then 6:30 am to 9 am for Sri Kula and satvik deities. Post sunset i.e. 6:30 pm to 3:30 am for Kali Kula and Ugra deities.

  • Please consult respective gurus for the right time and right process. These are just general notes.

Step 3: Activation (Prana Pratishtha)

Wash the yantra with Panchamrit, then with clean water or Gangajal. Place the Yantra on a clean red or yellow cloth on your altar as per respective deity. Light a pure ghee lamp (diya) and sandalwood or camphor incense. Sit facing East (facing North for wealth Yantras). Offer Naivedya or Bhog or Prashada, fresh flowers and water to the Yantra. Chant the specific Mul Mantra of the Yantra 108 times while keeping your gaze fixed softly on the central Bindu.(This is a general process. Please consult respective guru for proper rituals)

Step 4: Placement (Sthapana)

  • Kuber Yantra: North direction, at eye level or higher. Inside or near your safe or cash area.

  • Shri Yantra: East-facing wall of puja room or home office.

  • Nav Graha Yantras: Each planet's assigned Vastu direction.

  • Protection Yantras (Bhairav, Kali): Main entrance, facing the door.

  • Desk Yantras (Karya Siddhi, Vyapar Vridhi): On your work desk, facing East.

  • Its better to create a secluded place in respective home or work area, where yantras can be properly worshipped, placed in multiple-yantra stand and remain untouched. This place shouldnt be located in South area of the premise. Best NorthEast and then NorthWest.

Step 5: Daily Practice (Nitya Puja)

Daily practice takes as little as 5 minutes. Use a proper Kusha Grass or Silk asana. Offer a fresh flower or water. Light incense. Chant the Mul Mantra 11 or 108 times. Even brief, consistent daily practice sustains the Yantra's resonance more effectively than infrequent intensive worship.

Trataka Meditation with a Yantra

Trataka is the Yogic practice of fixed-gaze meditation. Seat yourself 1.5–2 feet from the Yantra. Gaze softly at the central Bindu without blinking for as long as comfortable. Begin with 1–2 minutes and increase gradually over weeks. aDvaar Yantras are specifically designed with precision geometry for optimal Trataka practice.

Care & Maintenance

Copper develops a natural darkish colour or green-brown patina over time if humidity is higher(oxidation). This is normal and does not diminish the Yantra's energetic properties. The design still remains white and visible, compared to other market yantras. Wipe gently with a dry cloth monthly. Occasional light polish with a soft cloth and diluted lemon juice or sesame oil restores copper's natural brightness.
